Meet Maja

Hello, my name is Maja, and I am the founder and owner of Paradise Puzzle.

I have been in love with jigsaw puzzles since an early age for so many reasons.  In my earlier years, working on jigsaw puzzles was a way to bring my family together around a single exciting project.  I am fortunate to have lots of memories of gathering around the table with my family and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Sometimes we would stay up late at night working on puzzles with as many as 18,000 pieces.  Puzzling was a true team sport!  Putting a jigsaw puzzle together with someone can be enjoyable for people of all ages. It was a wonderful way to connect with those older than me, and now I can pass along that same enjoyment to my younger family members.  I also love puzzling because it is something that can be done individually as well.  It’s a place where I can find solitude and escape.

A few years ago, I lost my dear friend who was a local artist here in Key West, and I thought to myself: “His art would make such beautiful puzzles.” The idea was born to create a small business around beauty and puzzling, and I began researching how to start a jigsaw puzzle business. Having a full-time job delayed the start of my business but I can now call myself an entrepreneur by following my passion!
